This was project done at Tennessee Dance Arts Conservatory's Summer Camp. We were assigned to come up with different shapes we could do with our bodies. We showed them to the class, and my dance teacher took our pictures!

I was introduced to this poem by my sister, Kristi, and it is now my most cherished poem. It holds hope and so much truth, and is just ultimately beautifuly written. I hope it will give you as much strength and hope as it truly gave me.

The End of The Road is But a Bend in The Road
by Helen Steiner Rice

When we feel we have nothing left to give
And we are sure that the "song has ended"--
When our day seems over and the shadows fall
and the darkness of night has descended,

Where can we go to find the strength
To valiantly keep on trying,
Where can we find the hand that will dry
The tears that the heart is crying--

There's but one place to go and that is to God
And, dropping all pretense and pride,
We can pour out our problem without restraint
And gain strength with Him at our side--

And together we stand at life's crossroads
And view what we think is the end,
But God has a much bigger vision
And he tells us it's only a bend--

For the road goes on and is smoother,
And the "pause in the song" is a "rest,"
And the part that's unsung and unfinished
Is the sweetest and richest and best--

So rest and relax and grow stronger,
Let go and let God share your load,

A Poem Entitled, "My Faith," By Tori Ingram

"I'm not one to complain for the things i do not attain, but instead i am grateful for the blessings in life i have obtained. And although I may fear for the things i'll have to face, I know i will receive strength through my loving Lord's embrace. I say, It's the warmth of my smile, to the kindness I possess, It's the way i look at you for a while, to the love for you I confess.

The act of dancing is where my passion can be found, It's the love i have for dancing that is so prfound. I would gladly dance all night and day, the rythm of the music, my body will never betray, I say, it's in the fluidity my movements obtain, to the graceful way i leap through the air, It's the way my dancing can erase your pain, a broken heart my dancing will repair.

My enduring faith is what keeps me strong, the more faith I have in God, I know my hapiness will prolong. A person of great accomplishment is what I want to be, For i know there are great things the Lord sees in me. I say, it's my outlook I have on life, to the understanding I have for my stuggles, to the way i endure through my strife, and the testimony i receive by making it through my trials.

I feel no need to be someone I'm not, and although I have learned many things, I know I still have much to be taught, so give me a trial, and I'll try my best to smile. I say, it's the story in my eyes, to the sweet sound of my laughter, it's my faith in the Lord i will not defy, to the simple things in life i'm after."
